Murkowski Questions Expert Witnesses on Maintaining Position of Power in O&G, LNG Production
Recent executive actions have jeopardized the future development and production of U.S. fossil fuel resources. During a Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee hearing to draw on data and analysis by the United States’ and world’s leading authorities on global climate trends from energy related sectors, Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) questioned Dr. Fatih Birol, Executive Director of the International Energy Agency (IEA) and Mr. Mark P. Mills, Senior Fellow at the Manhattan Institute on which countries benefit the most from U.S. oil and gas exports, where future supplies will come from if the U.S. cuts its exports, and what a reduction in U.S. oil and gas production will mean for the development of global markets.
