Murkowski: “It’s past time that everyone involved in Epstein’s illegal operation be brought to justice”
Washington, DC — U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) released the following statement after the House of Representatives voted to pass H.R. 4405, The Epstein Files Transparency Act,:
“This afternoon, the House voted almost unanimously to pass H.R. 4405, the Epstein Files Transparency Act. The bill requires the Department of Justice to publish all unclassified records, documents, communications, and materials in the Department’s possession that relate to the investigation and prosecution of Jeffery Epstein—including any individuals named or referenced in connection with the investigation.
“The bill now comes to the Senate, and I support its immediate consideration and will vote for it as written.
“As the co-lead of a nearly identical counterpart bill, S. 2557, I urge my Senate colleagues to join me. We need to enforce transparency and integrity at the highest levels of government. It’s past time that all involved in Epstein’s illegal operation be brought to justice, so the survivors of these awful crimes can have closure.”
