WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, today wrote to Attorney General Eric Holder questioning why the federal government apparently has decided not to prosecute imprisoned former Veco CEO Bill Allen on child sexual abuse charges.

Justice Department officials have declined to comment on news reports quoting Anchorage police officials saying that federal authorities decided not to charge Allen in the investigation.
